TDS Announces Its First International Acquisition
NEW YORK, N.Y. (August 3, 2016)
Trusted Data Solutions (TDS), a global leader in data management services, announces the successful acquisition of Altirium Limited, one of the most respected data recovery and tape restoration companies in Europe.
The acquisition is the latest in a series of five acquisitions completed by TDS in 2016, and the first thus far in the United Kingdom and Europe.
Based just outside London, Altirium has been a highly respected supplier of world class restoration and data recovery services in both the corporate and e-discovery sectors throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
“We are thrilled to have the Altirium team join our family of companies,” said Chris Clark, President and CEO of TDS Global Holdings. “This acquisition will help us implement our aggressive expansion plans for the rest of Europe and APAC later this year.”
Altirium Founders Mark Sear and Brian White, along their technical team will be joining TDS’s Global Solutions Group, where Sear will head the development of next-generation media recovery and restoration technologies.
“We believe that TDS is a company with the same ethos as Altirium to provide great service and capability to their customers. We see this as a joining of two organisations with common beliefs, and a great opportunity for us to contribute to the development of worldwide services,” Sear said.
“TDS and Altirium’s shared DNA includes the rare, deep understanding of backup tape media and tape restoration techniques. By dovetailing this expertise with the formidable development skills of both teams, we are strengthening our restoration platform and ability to deploy solutions to our clients globally,” said Cofounder and COO of TDS Global Holdings, Robert Breen.
